People who have completed sentences for nonviolent offenses should have a genuine path back into productive life. Lisa wants to reduce federal barriers that prevent people with old convictions from getting jobs, licenses, housing, education, or starting businesses. Public safety matters. So does allowing people who have paid their debt to rebuild.
